Cette partie nord de Reims a \u00e9merg\u00e9 et fut int\u00e9gr\u00e9e rapidement \u00e0 la cit\u00e9 des sacres au XIXe si\u00e8cle -bien que des hameaux y \u00e9taient d\u00e9j\u00e0 pr\u00e9sents lorsque Vercing\u00e9torix \u00e9tait toujours de ce monde-, notamment autour de la place Luton, inaugur\u00e9 le 7 mai 1899 et r\u00e9nov\u00e9e un si\u00e8cle plus tard. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Quant \u00e0 Orgeval-m\u00eame, il se dresse sur ce qui \u00e9tait autrefois un mar\u00e9cage, le lieu-dit de la Noue d&rsquo;Orgeval &#8211; sinistrement reconnue comme ligne de front de la Grande guerre. Le quartier a notamment \u00e9merg\u00e9 en r\u00e9ponse \u00e0 la crise de logements que connut la France et ici Reims au retour des rapatri\u00e9s d&rsquo;Alg\u00e9rie, avec une piscine elle inaugur\u00e9e avec le stade Georges H\u00e9bert le 7 octobre 1971.
